Bruce and Kevin cut down 10 trees today between 9am and 3pm. Kevin uses wood to heat his home and has a wood stove that is so efficient that his gas bill for the entire winter is lower than ours for just one month.Our burn pile is absolutely huge! We have another pile of tree debris for chipping. The plan is to use the chips for mulch in the front -- unless we get lazy and just burn it all.

If you use your chip mulch, wait a year for it to cure; otherwise, it will kill your plants. At least that's what my dad has always said and he's being doing this for 50 years. TW
