Nelson Dog Park

Spike was all worked up when we were preparing to leave to take Grandma home late this afternoon.


He wanted to go with us.



Nelson Dog Park, in Elkhart, is not very far from "the institution" where Grandma lives, so we loaded up Spike's dog park bag (water, bowl, bags for cleanup) and off we were.

When we arrived at the park, there were six dogs anxious to greet Spike. As soon as we walked through the gate, they were all over him. He was pretty intimidated... not quite ready to run with the big dogs.



We hustled him into the fenced-in area for small dogs where he had the place to himself. It's about the size of a football field, which was plenty big enough to wear him out.
