All I Want for Christmas...

is a new kitchen floor. I've been wanting a new kitchen floor since we moved into this house six years ago. The flooring was old linoleum that just would not come clean.

I had hoped to have the new flooring installed several months ago, but we ended up waiting until just before Christmas to get the project going.

The new flooring is 12 x 12 composite tile that required special pre-mixed grout. Problems working with the grout made the two-day project last four days. But, the end result is quite nice.

Christmas Decorations

After Bruce got the Christmas lights up on the front of the house, I was thinking of ways to jazz up the empty flower boxes. A quick shopping trip to Big Lots and 10 minutes of arranging and the boxes don't look so empty any more.
